Anita Ekberg

Anita Ekberg was a Swedish actress who starred in numerous European as well as American films. Her most well-known role is her role in "La Dolce Vita," a comedy-drama film. In 1960 the film was given its Golden Palm and an Oscar by the Cannes Film Festival. The film also received both critical and commercial success. Her birthplace was Skane where she worked as models before launching performing. She won an award in the Miss Sweden competition. In the US She began appearing in films with small roles. She was the Venusian Guard in the film 'Abbott and Costello's Go To Mars. It was her debut credit part. That same year she received an award called the Golden Globe in the category of 'Most Outstanding Newcomer' for her role in the movie "Blood Alley.. Her filmography included many different films that included the war drama film War and Peace, the Western 'Valerie,' the British crime-adventure film The Man Inside and the French/Italian Drama, The Dam on the Yellow River.' In the year 2015, she died, at the age of an 83 year old.
