Harry Edward Styles, known to the world of music by the name of Harry Styles, is a British composer and performer, recognized as one of the members of the group One Direction. Harry Styles was born in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire, England on the 1st of February 1994. He's the child of Des Styles and Anne Cox. Harry Styles attended the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive school where together with three students, he formed his musical group, White Eskimo. They participated in the Battle of Bands where thanks to their outstanding performances, they were winners. Although he has always been fascinated by the arts, he aspired to become an lawyer or physiotherapist. He was employed at the local bakery for a few hours to support his family financially. The year was 2010. Harry Styles presented audition for The X Factor where he sang Is not She Lovely by Stevie Wonder and was selected. This is why his band broke up. Nicole Scherzinger told Harry Styles, Liam Payne Zayn Milik Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson that they'd form the group One Direction after the X Test audition. Simon Cowell sponsored five teenagers to form the band in 2010. The five-piece band was sponsored by Simon Cowell. They performed Kelly Clarkson's My Life Would Suck without You and Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart. The group was among the most competitive groups in the competition. However, they finished third place, just behind Rebecca Ferguson. Even though Harry Styles and his group were not crowned winners, Cowell agreed to pay 2 million pounds for One Direction to sign with the Syco recording label.
